Russian Tsars (1533-1917)

This video contains paintings and art from almost four hundred years of Imperial autocratic history: *Ivan IV (1533-84), also known as Ivan the Terrible, was the first to use "Tsar of all Russia" as his title. He was an impulsive man and prone to incandescent rages. It was in a fit of anger that he struck his favorite son and heir on the head with his staff and crushed his skull, killing him. *Feodor I (1584-98), Ivan IV's weaker son, followed Ivan and occupied the throne for 14 years. He was known as "Feodor the Bell Ringer" because he liked to visit monasteries and ring their bells. His death without issue led to Russia's "Time of Troubles." *Boris Godunov (1598-1605) was Feodor's brother-in-law, best known as the musical subject of "Boris Godunov," an opera by Modest Mussorgsky. *Feodor II (1605), son of Boris Godunov, was proclaimed tsar at the age of 16, and immediately surrounded by treachery. He was strangled to death in his apartment two months later. *False Dmitriy I (1605-06), one of three people who claimed to be sons of Ivan IV during the Time of Troubles, was assassinated a year later. *Vasily IV (1606-10), a leading Boyar, assumed the throne, but was deposed four years later. --There was unrest and no recognized claimant for the throne for three years, though Wladislaw IV of Poland pressed his claim to the throne. He tried but failed to capture Moscow and finally withdrew. *Michael (1613-1645), first of the Romanovs, was elected tsar by a national assembly ...

House of Romanov Russian Imperial Dynasty Tzar Tsar Nicholas II Royal Russia by BK Bazhe.com

Romanov - www.BAZHE.com Images of The House of Romanov, and their relatives who survived the execution, from an antique-collectible book. The House of Romanov was the second and last imperial dynasty of Russia, which ruled the country from 1613 to 1917, until the February Revolution of 1917. This line was officially also called Romanov, although genealogists sometimes style it, more accurately, Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov. The Romanov male line ended with the death of Peter II. There have been many theories regarding the possible survival of members of Nicholas II's family. However, recent research shows that all of the Romanovs, including Tsarevich Alexei and Grand Duchess Anastasia who had been thought to have escaped the Bolshevik attack, were in reality killed. Tsar Nicholas II & Alexander Palace

Within the Imperial retreat of the great palace of Tsarskoe Selo, near St. Petersburg, is Alexander Palace, the residence of the last Tsar of Russia, Nicholas II and his family. The graceful Neoclassical building was commissioned by Catherine the Great for her favourite grandson, the future emperor Alexander I of Russia and was built between 1792-1796 by the renowned Italian architect, Giacomo Quarenghi. Upon becoming Tsar, Alexander gave the palace to his brother, the future Nicholas I as a summer retreat. From this time onwards it became the summer residence of the heir to the throne. Following the Bloody Sunday demonstration in 1905, Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra made the palace their permanent family residence as they considered St. Petersburg, too "political". The Tsar had the palace wired for electricity and installed a telephone system. Through the years of war and revolution, the walls of the palace sheltered the Imperial Family, isolating them from the turbulent outside world. When he abdicated the throne in March 1917, he was held under house arrest and confined to a few rooms of the palace under the gaze of armed guards until being sent into exile with the rest of his family. The palace was then converted into a museum, remaining so until the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War in 1941. The Nazis converted the building into an SS hospital. Upon their retreat, the palace suffered heavy damage due to shell fire and abuse from the German soldiers. After the ...

TSAR Hydrogen Bomb Detonated by USSR (with sound)

AN602 hydrogen bomb ("Big Ivan") dropped with a descent-slowing parachute by a Soviet TU-95 propeller-driven bomber and detonated in the atmosphere at an altitude of 10000 feet on October 30, 1961 at the USSR's Sukhoy Nos facility of Novaya Zemlya in the Barents Sea. It was the most powerful nuclear weapon ever exploded. Designed to produce a blast of 100 megatons, the test was reduced to 50 megatons to minimize fallout. At this explosive power this bomb was 4000 times as powerful as that which destroyed Hiroshima. The explosion was heard 600 miles away and the shock wave was measured to have encircled the earth three times. Only one bomb of this type was ever built. It was 7 feet in diameter, 26 feet long, and weighed 27 tons. One bomb like this could totally destroy a city the size of New York. This one bomb had 20 times the explosive power of all the munitions used by all countries in World War II. Armageddon, predicted by the bible, came a major step closer when mankind learned how to destroy on such a massive scale. There are 30000 nuclear warheads currently in existence, all but 200 in the hands of Russia and the United States. What's the point of making you aware of this? Read 2 Corinthians chapter 4, verses 7 through 18 to find out.

Tsar Nicholas II Alexandrovich of Russia

Nicholas II (Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov; Russian: Никола́й II, Никола́й Алекса́ндрович Рома́нов) (18 May [OS 6 May] 1868 17 July 1918) was the last Tsar of Russia, Grand Duke of Finland, and claimant to the title of King of Poland.[1] His official title was Nicholas II, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias[2] and he is currently regarded as Saint Nicholas the Passion Bearer by the Russian Orthodox Church. Nicholas II ruled from 1894 until his abdication on 15 March 1917. His reign saw Imperial Russia go from being one of the foremost great powers of the world to an economic and military disaster. Critics nicknamed him Bloody Nicholas because of the Khodynka Tragedy, Bloody Sunday, and his largely fatal anti-Semitic pogroms. As head of state, he approved the Russian mobilization of August 1914 which marked the first fatal step into World War I and thus into the demise of the Romanov dynasty. Nicholas II abdicated following the February Revolution of 1917 during which he and his family were imprisoned first in the Alexander Palace at Tsarskoe Selo, then later in the Governor's Mansion in Tobolsk, and finally at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg. Nicholas II, his wife, his son, his four daughters, the family's medical doctor, the Tsar's Valet, the Empress' Lady in Waiting and the family's cook were all killed in the same room by the Bolsheviks on the night of 17 July 1918.

Holy Serbian Tsar Lazar (Orthodox Miracle)

Stefan Lazar Hrebeljanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Стефан Лазар Хребељановић; 1329 June 28 [OS June 15] 1389), also known as Tsar Lazar (Цар Лазар), was a Serbian noble (knez), ruler of Moravian Serbia, who fought and perished at the Battle of Kosovo, to which his name and life are inextricably tied. He is a heroic figure in Serbia, and a saint of the Serbian Orthodox Church. In Serbian legend, Lazar is said to have been visited by an angel of God on the night before battle, and offered a choice between an earthly or a Heavenly kingdom, which choice would result in a peaceful capitulation or bloody defeat, respectively, at the Battle of Kosovo. "...Prophet Elijah then appeared as a gray falcon to Lazar, bearing a letter from the Mother of God that told him the choice was between holding an earthly kingdom and entering the kingdom of heaven..." [1] Lazar opts for the Heavenly kingdom, which will last "forever and ever"[2], but has to perish on the battlefield. We die with Christ, to live forever, tells he to his soldiers. That Kosovos destination and that Testament, it is a union which Serb people made with God and sealed it with martyrs blood. On Kosovo, Serbs voted with their souls for Kingdom of Heaven and that was and has been their right destination. Since then all Serbs truthful to that Testament are becoming people of God, Christs New Testament nation, heavenly Serbia, part of Gods New Israel. This is why sometimes Serbs refer to themselves as the people of Heaven ...
