Remember when there weren't 5000 channels full of daytime TV, late night talk shows, and endless repeats. Sometimes there would just be a simple test card. Nothing on. No product placement. No-one telling you what to watch/buy/wear/think. In a hotel in Växjö I was reminded that TV isn't moving wallpaper, or a means to dispel ghosts from lonely rooms. This, then, is possibly the pinnacle of artistic achievement for television. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls. I give you 4'33" of peace
