Windows 8 on a 900mhz Celeron UMPC Asus R2H

Windows 8 running on my old Asus R2H with 768MB of RAM. Everything is working fine except it is usung the basic Windows 8 video driver which still supports Aero unlike the real driver in Windows 7. Overall performance is very good for a 4 year old UMPC. Speed could be increased with an SSD and upping ram to 2GB. The fingerprint reader works great with Windows 8! 7 Inch Touch Android 2.1 Netbook UMPC MID Apad w/ HDMI out, Camera, Apps Market

www.babikenshop.com Two Point Touch Android Tablet PC 7" Android 2.1 MID w/ Camera Babiken L712 HDMI Output 1080p HD Android 2.1 MID UMPC Netbook The specs of Android MID L712 is almost the same as L711 but it has some upgrades like HDMI output port. Basically L712 also has accessible Market where you can download thousands of Apps. It supports HD videos up to 1080p and with HMDI output, you can use it with your HD TV to enjoy video playback. The tablet supports a wide range of video formats such as mp4, avi, xvid, h.263., h.264. The touch screen support two-point touch, which means you can zoom your pictures by two fingers. One flaw for this device is that memory card slot is abnormal because you can only insert the card half in and the other half of the memory card is outside. Because of this, if you want to put the device in your pocket or bag, you have to take the memory card out. This is really a stupid design. Fujitsu LifeBook U810 UMPC - Dining Room Table Reviews

Review of the Fujitsu LifeBook U810 UMPC from my dining room table. An update: I've dumped Windows Vista and installed Windows XP instead. The U810 does appear to work a little faster now, but not by much. The big difference however is the more than 5 GB of hard drive space I've managed to recover! On a 40 GB drive, that's a huge chunk of space! The biggest issue when installing Windows XP will be the installation of the drivers. You must first install every Windows Update available including the .NET components BEFORE installing ANY of the Fujitsu drivers. Install the chipset and system extension drivers before installing the tablet and mouse drivers, otherwise you may end up with an inverted mouse.

Quore has released a Wibrain portable computer that is as functional as a regular PC, but is around the same size as a Sony PSP. The system comes with Windows XP installed, and of course, has a full QWERTY pad and a mouse pad with a touchscreen and stylus included. It weighs just over 500 grams and has the same components as a desktop PC: a 1.6 gigahertz processor, a 60Gb hard drive, Wifi and Bluetooth, a webcam and microphone for Skype and other communication programs and a resolution of 1024 X 600.
