Hamlet: A Modern Soliloquy (Milton Academy)

This short and mostly wordless film briefly explores a modern understanding of a Hamlet character. In case its unclear, or to those that don't know the play's story line, hamlet is a young prince mourning his late father and confused by his mother's quick moving on. He struggles daily, questioning his own signifigance and thus, his will to live; themes brought up throughout the book, but most notably in the famed "to be, or not to be" soliloquy. By: Jenell Randall Abdool Laltaprasad This, being the very first film we did as a team, we put together in a couple days for our hamlet course in fall of 07, our senior year. We're pretty fond of it, hope you are too! Feel free to comment!

The young man Hamlet is forced to face the extreme realities that life presents to him and his emotional capacities to address them. The audience, through Hamlets experience is invited to seek and discover who and what a truthful human being is. We decided to make excerpts from a "modern day movie version" to demonstrate our understanding of this great Shakespearean masterpiece... I'm not quite sure we demonstrated that. :) This scene is a version of the last scene in Hamlet, and I'd be willing to wager it's the worst version that's ever been produced by man. This is the longest and the most ridiculous of the three, in my opinion. Oh well, at least the script was good.

The Annotated Hamlet: Scene 3 pt 2

We decided to make excerpts from a "modern day movie version" to demonstrate our understanding of this great Shakespearean masterpiece... I'm not quite sure we demonstrated that. :) This scene is a version of the last scene in Hamlet, and I'd be willing to wager it's the worst version ever made by man. This is the longest and the most ridiculous of the three, in my opinion. Oh well, at least the script was good.

I am not sure what happened, but Halloween was off the charts.
