Hey guys, Back to Basics! Here is a really quick hair tutorial (if your hair is pre-curled cough..lol). It's kind of messy so it looks laid back but it also has an elegant quality to it. It's really easy! Easy peasy ftw! I was getting ready to have dinner with the boyfriend and thought I'll film the quick hairstyle. You CAN do this hairstyle with straight hair but it must be straightened so hair is poker straight. However, I prefer this hairstyle with tousle waves because it looks softer. Some kind of easy updo style. No need to use curling iron or hair straightener. Just make a pony tail, not too tight. Loose some from the bottom. Use your tumbs at the bottom part and tuck all your hair in. At the end hold your hair side to side and use barette or big comb. Don't forget grab some hair from the back side to make it tight and more secure. Use some nice little combs for the side. In the video I used barette and little butterfly shape hair jaws. If you have long hair, try to make your pony tail a little upper level. If you need more space to tuck your hair, pull your hair to loose it more while you are tucking the hair.

I have been wearing my hair like this in HK cause its a quick way for me to dress up and funk up a bad hair day. It just looks chic and artistic. It's real quick and easy. Sometimes you can wear for school or shopping or whatever you wish. All you need is a hair band and some bobby pins. For a more dramatic look, you can always 'back comb' your hair but I'm not a big fan of hair teasing. A slightly harder look, based on two pony tails. I would suggest having a go at the single pony updo first, and then trying out this one. Also, please keep in mind that I didn't use a mirror when I did this look, and I had to rush it to keep it under 10min, so its not the neatest. I did adjust it slightly after filming so the hair ties were covered. Have fun with it though...once you get the hang of the curls it really is quite simple to do. It just takes some practise. Use a mirror and check it as you go so you get the placement right. Thanks for watching! You will need: Clear hair ties Bobby pins which match your hair colour Hair spray Sectioning clips (or use ties if you have to) Decorative clips for the side.

♥ Open here for more information ♥ This look would be great for a semi-formal occasion :) It's easy to do and should work on hair that's shoulder length and longer, it's not meant to be a 'tidy do', it's a fun funky look. One or two day 'old' hair is best to work with as freshly washed hair (like mine here) gets a bit slippery. You can add mousse before teasing to add more volume and spray with hairspray when it's done. Here's the much requested hairstyle from my Spring Summer Trends video... www.youtube.com It's easy to do with a little practice at rolling and pinning! but it always comes out looking a little different each time, and it's tough to get it how you want the first go. This updo is not supposed to look perfect, it should look a little undone and roughly textured. So don't worry too much about strays - though, you'll probably want to keep a few spare grips in your purse! Great for medium length to long hair, and perfect for an everyday school look, as well as a more formal wedding hair style. Works best on wavy, large curls or straight (blow dried) hair - that's been washed the previous day so it has a little hold. You could add in some hair accessories for a more polished occasion look, like a few flowers or a diamante clip. I love how the style is both Scandinavian and victorian inspired - quirky and yet chic. PS. I love the weird faces I make when opening the grips... :)
