Three days in a remote cave located near the town of Hasankeyf in Eastern Turkey, visual artist daniel j kirk explores the notion of cave painting. With no food and no human contact he allows the creative process to guide his painting while intending to raise questions about graffiti, vandalism, culture, heritage and the idea of being present. daniel j kirk is an artist from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and was honored to visit Kurdistan in the winter of 2011.
