Opened since June, the theme park has already been visited by over 350000 people seeking to take a break from the scorching heat. The park boasts to be the world's largest of its kind, with over 50 waterslides, 18 other attractions and artificial beaches. To keep all of the park activities going, Happy Magic Water Park keeps a minimum of 8000 tons of water at all times, with dozens of tons refilled daily. However, the park's water usage has attracted negative attention from local media. The marketing manager, though, reassures there is minimal water wasted. An unruly black crowd shuts down Nashville water park. NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Nearly two dozen police officers were called out to Wave Country on Monday afternoon after large crowds of people became unruly. The disturbance forced park managers to close the facility two hours early on Memorial Day. Metro Parks director Tommy Lynch said Wave Country was nowhere near capacity, but there were plenty of problems that caused the park to close early. "Once we got to the point that the turmoil at the front of the facility also got inside the facility, we felt for everyone's safety the best thing to do was to close it," Lynch explained. Metro Police were called out to Wave Country around 1 pm because the crowd outside the gates and inside the park was acting up. "That crowd refused to follow any kind of instructions. They became disorderly," according to Cpt. Marlene Pardue from Metro Police. There were several fights inside. Police said one of the biggest problems was people jumping the fence to get into the park, creating chaos inside the park. "Not just kids jumping the fence, but adults, with children and strollers, putting them over the fence, then jumping the fence," Cpt. Pardue said. The Wild Wadi Water Park is situated in Jumeirah, an area in Dubai, United Arab Emirates next to the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The water park is operated by Jumeirah International, a Dubai-based hotelier. Wild Wadi is an outdoor water park with a heated/cooled wave pool, multiple water slides and two artificial surfing machines. In addition, the park has the largest water slide outside of North America. Another feature of the park is an 18 m (59 ft) waterfall that goes off every ten minutes. Note: NO custom scenery was used in this park. Just off the coast is an island water park called Paradise Key. It contains numerous pools, slides and rides that will provide an full day of fun for the entire family. Notes: As soon as you enter the park you walk across a bridge, under the lazy river and are greeted by a steel drum band. There are speakers hidden under the stage that plays music to make it seem like they are actually playing. There is a lazy river that runs around the entire pool area with 3 different stations to enter & exit. There are 2 separate hot tub sections that are secluded off the path and surrounded by plants for a relaxing atmosphere. The main pool is called The Islands Pool because there are 3 islands in the middle of the pool that contain sun chairs and diving boards in addition to some nice trees & plants. There are several slides located through out the park offering a variety of thrills. On the side of the park near the waterfall, you can ride a number of water-themed flat rides to give you a chance to get out of the pool for a while and get something to eat at a number of food stalls. I know the lack of supports on the Crazy River makes it look like a bit unrealistic but there is a lot of scenery underneath it so that's the way it came out. At night the entire park is lit by tiki torches. No pool lights were used at all in this park.
