Batman vs. Avengers Box Office Battle

bit.ly - Click to Subscribe! Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Two titans are clashing at the box office next summer, and I'm not talking about Wrath of the titans. Hey movie buffs Joshua Ovenshire here filling in for Tatiana Carrier with Clevver movies. Today I want to take a closer look at who I think is going to win the box office next summer. Easily the two most anticipated movies next year are The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises. Both will be highly successful, but who is going to bring in the most money during that opening weekend. Now by no means is this a Marvel vs DC kinda thing. I don't believe in that. Both are great franchises, there will never be any reason to pick sides, I just want to look at some of the facts. So let's size up these two behemoths. Two better compare how they'll do in the future, let's see how they did in the past first. Starting with 2008's The Dark Knight, this movie dominated the box office that year. Opening weekend it made $158.4 million dollars outing Spider-man three for the highest grossing weekend release. It actually held this record all the way up to this year when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2 beat it out with $169 million. Well played muggles... But Batman had A LOT going for it. It was the last big release during it's summer and no big movies to compete with it the same weekend. Knowing that nothing else big is coming out for a few weeks actually does drive more viewers into the theatres for ...

With the weekend upon us, and lots of great movies to go see, we want to give you a box office preview to help you decide what flick will be getting your hard earned bucks in the theatres this weekend! Expected to come in first place throughout the weekend is Paranormal Activity 3 with a potential $41 million. The first Paranormal Activity earned $107.9 million against a $15000 budget in 2009, while Paranormal Activity 2 (which was not as well received) grossed $84.8 million against a still-tiny $3 million budget in 2010. HOWEVER, we think that based off of the intense trailer, lots of scary movie fans will check out the third installment this weekend. Coming in second place is expected to be The Three Musketeers with $13 million. Three Musketeers, costing $90 million to make and produced by Germany's Constantin Films, is expected to open in the low double digits at the domestic box office, and is tracking best among older males. The flick stars Logan Lerman, Matthew Macfadyen and Ray Stevenson and as you guys know wasn't received that well by the critics, so I guess we will have to just wait and see after the weekend! Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up: Puss In Boots, In Time, The Rum Diary

Watch Puss In Boots Trailer youtu.be bit.ly - Click to Subscribe! Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! As I suspected, Puss in Boots was the top DOG, ERRR CAT of the box office this past weekend with 34 million dollars...besides being a fun family flick...the movie stars a smooth talking, sword wielding, accent rocking cat. Puss stole just about every scene in the Shrek movies, and won over the hearts of movie goers to the point of getting his very own movie. In my opinion Cats in general are world dominating geniuses who are often over looked in Hollywood...often times movies go for the chiuaua look, which totally confuses me bc they appear to rats on steroids. IN conclusion, cats are the perfect animal choice to star in a movie...many cats have made movie history, mr jinx, mr, bigglesworth, SIMBA, and up and comer, tinkerbell finding nemo. Paranormal Activity 3 came in 2nd place with 19 million throughout the weekend. Now as you guys know, Paranormal ran a fun promotional screening at select theatres where movie goers got to see all 3 paranormal flicks in chronological order all for the price of one ticket...you even got free popcorn at the screening! The paranormal franchise now has a cume of 91.5 million after this weekend. Coming in 3rd place is Justin Timberlakes InTime with 12million throughout the weekend. Weekend Box Office Preview: The Debt, Apollo 18, Shark Night 3D

Watch Apollo 18 Trailer youtu.be Watch The Debt Trailer youtu.be Watch Shark Night 3D Trailer youtu.be bit.ly - Click to Subscribe! Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Hey everyone thanks for checking back with clevver movies I'm Tatiana carrier and I've got the box office prediction for this weekend. Summer is almost officially over and this weekend three new movies hit the scene...but can they take away from the helps shine? Apollo 18 and Shark Night 3D open this weekend and The Debt opened this weds so all three will go head to head in the newby category to see which will reign champ. Apollo 18 is scoring high with men of all ages, meaning it won't have to rely entirely on younger consumers, which as we have learned, is a good thing. Tracking suggests that Apollo 18 could score a four-day gross of $11 million to $14 million which would make Apollo18 the TOP contender who may just beat out the Help...in order to reign champ, Apollo 18 would need to beat 12 million, which is what we are expecting from the help this weekend. The Debt was directed by john madden and is an espionage thriller that stars Hellen Mirron, Sam Worthington and Jessica Chastain. Movie experts guess that the flick could open with a solid 11 million throughout the weekend. WE are thinking The Debt will come in 2nd or 3rd depending on how the help does. Weekend Box Office Preview Sherlock Holmes vs the Chipmunks

bit.ly - Click to Subscribe! Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Hey everyone, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies im your host, Tatiana carrier with your box office wrap up! . This weekend we have tons of goodies releasing, but who will reign champ at the box office come Monday??? Here are our predictions! . We are thinking Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows will come in first with $54 million throughout the weekend. Robert Downey junior and jude law are at it again! In the second holmes flick, Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty. Will they succeed? I guiess we will just have to wait and see! . Another new release, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked should bring in about $30 million placing the singing chipmunks in 2nd place throught out the weekend. Because this is the newest family friendly flick for the weekend, we think a solid family crowd will turn out to see Alvin simon and Theodore in action! . IN third should be Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol with $10 million for the weekend! The movie opened earlier this week and the crowds were larger than life...and we think that little dark knight rises prologue may have something to do with it! Also, 10 million isn't that much for a movie like MI...especially a cruise flick! . IN 4th place should be new years eve with 7 million. Lots of great flicks out there, but the question is, which will reign champ for stacking the most box office cash come Monday?! This weekend 50/50, whats your number, dream house and courageus all make they silver screen debut! Now although all these movies sound like a good watch, we are thinking Moneyball or Lion King 3d May take over the top spot. King King 3D has been king of the boxoffice two weekends in a row and has now grossed 66.4 million in north America. Moneyball debuted last weekend and grossed 24.2 million in the box office thru Wednesday and box office experts expect the flick to bring in anywhere from 13-15 millions throughout this coming weekend. Dolphin Tale also opened last weekend and took in 21.6 million in its first weekend, and is also expected to bring in another 13-15 million. However, despite these impressive numbers from the hold overs, the well-reviewed 50/50, starring Joseph Gordon-Levittand Seth Rogen, has a shot at over-performing and earning a top spot on the box office chart. Will Reiser penned the script for 50/50, which is loosely based on his own experience with cancer. Jonathan Levine directed, while Bryce Dallas Howard, Anna Kendrickand Anjelica Huston also star. But the question is, who will reign champ at the box office come Monday!? Hey everyone, im taitana carrier for clevver movies, your number one source for movies, and ive got your box office preview!!!! . You may have barely gotten that christmas tree up, but new years eve is coming whether you are ready for it or not! We are expecting the ensemble cast rom com, NEW YEARS EVE to bring home the big bucks in the box office this weekend with 25 million. Besides the flick being packed with all of our favorite actors, New Year's Eve is the clear front-runner for the weekend and also the first wide release since Breaking Dawn to target female audiences — so we think the flick will easily dominate this weekend. . The other opener, The Sitter, is expected to bring in about 12 million for the weekend...while we are used to seeing Jonah hill with a sidekick or in an ensemble cast, it should be interesting to see if the actor can pull off that star power solo! This flick should appeal to the comedy seekers for the weekend...I don't know if you guys checked out the trailer, but that little girl had me at "I sharted." . After three weekends atop the chart, the honeymoon may finally be over for Edward and Bella.Breaking Dawn will likely decline by about 50 percent to $8.2 million, which would lift the ...

Whats up guys, Im Tatiana carrier with clevver movies, and with the weekend upon us, we have lots of great options at the box office this weekend, but the question is, which will reign champ come Monday when all the numbers are added up from the weekend? The 3 newbies of the weekend are footloose, the big year and the thing....we think that Footloose will probably come out on top throughout the weekend earning a potential 17-18 million. Footloose is a remix of the original which was released in 1984 and starred kevin bacon and sarah Jessica parker. The new version star Kenny wormald, and Julianne Hough and promises to deliver dancing, drama and love... Coming in 2nd, will probably be real steel...the robot boxing flick has done pretty well since it opened 3 weeks ago, and we anticipate another strong weekend for hugh jackman's feel good flick with 16-17 million throughtout the weekend. 'Immortals' Takes Top Spot At Weekend Box Office

Watch Immortals Trailer! youtu.be bit.ly - Click to Subscribe! Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! Hello everyone! Thanks for tuning back in with us at Clevver movies, I'm Tatiana Carrier with your box office wrap up! Well the numbers are in and newbie IMMORTALS is officially box office champ with 32 million for the weekend. The Tarsem Singh-directed visual feast, which stars Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto, definitely revived the ancient epic genre's viability this year after flop openings from movies like the dreadfu Conan the Barbarian which only made 10 million. Coming in 2nd place is Jack And Jill with $26M for the weekend. AS you guys know, Jack and Jill didn't do too hot with the critics, but it looks like non of that matters, and sandlers fans remained true and still went and saw the comedian play the roles of both jack and jill! My buddy Puss came in 3rd with 25 million for the weekend with a cume of 108.8 since it opened 3 weeks ago! As you guys know, puss was dominating the box office for the past couple of weeks and judging by the sold numbers still in its 3rd weekend open, this feisty feline isn't going anywhere anytime soon! Tower heist took the 4th position for the weekend with 13.1 for the weekend with 43.8 total so far. The all star cast of Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, and Casey Affleck was definitely expected to do much better in the box office...while still in the top 5, the flick was expected to make well over its cume so far. Tatiana Carrier here and its FRIDAY which means one thing here in movie land....lots of decisions to make as to what movie will be getting your hard earned bucks at the box office! To help you make that decision, ive got your box office preview! After two weeks atop the box office, Puss in Boots will need to draw his sword and fend the Immortals if he wants to stay in the top spot for a third weekend in a row...Im thinking PUSS has a great shot. As you guys know, the Shrek spin-off has been box office champ for two weeks running, and it may just pull off a third weekend in first place with a potential 26 million for a total of well past 100 million since it opened. If you haven't yet seen Puss in action, I think now is the time...hes stayed strong in this countdown and I think that's all the convining you need...plus, who can resist an accent rocking, sword wielding feline? Im thinking Immortals, the opener this weekend will be in a tight race with puss but may fall SLIGHTLY short with about 24 million for the weekend. Tarsem singhs Immortails which stars future Man of Steel Henry Cavill as Theseus, is hoping to draw a solid male crowd this weekend. Immortals follows the story of Theseus who is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion. He also happens to be on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy ...

For the last 2 weekends The Help has reined champ in the box office and we wonder if they will have what it takes to stay in the top spot. The Help stars Emma Stone and Viola Davis and is a book adaptation from the very popular book with the same title by Kathryn Stockett. The story of the help follows, well the help as they tell THEIR story of how it is to work in the south for white families. The movie makes you laugh, cry, and comes as no surprise to me, who has seen the flick3 times already that it is having such success in the box office! According to early predictions, the only major competition the help will have this weekend is "Don't be Afraid of the dark" which opens this weekend. Don't be afraid of the dark stars Katie holmes and is a thriller about A young girl sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend discovers creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own. Scary flicks always seem to do ok in the box office, so we think this flick should bring in a solid 15 million right after the help. Coming in 3rd should be ...

'The Lion King 3D' Rules Weekend Box Office!

Hey guys, Im Tatiana carrier with clevver movies and Ive got the box office numbers for ya! As we suspected the SIMBA and the gang were indeed the kings of the box office bringing in a higher than expected 29.2 million throughout the weekend. Before this newly polished 3D version which just releaed this past weekend, King already ranked as the top-grossing, hand-drawn animated film of all time. In its previous releases, it had grossed more then $328.5 million domestically, and $788.2 million worldwide. A couple other cool records the lions broke: Lion King 3D is the first re-issue to open at number one in 14 years: The last time it happened was Return of the Jedi - Special Edition in 1997. The movie's bow was also the fifth biggest September opening in history, and Disney's second biggest, following 2002's Sweet Home Alabama, which bowed to $35.6 million. Steven Soderbergh's medical thriller Contagion in its second weekend, took 2nd place with $14.5 million. The all star cast, insane story line, and intensity throughout drew in a solid crowd at the theatres this weekend, and we think the flick will stay top 5 for a few more weekends to come. 'Green Lantern' Takes Weekend Box Office Top Spot

What's up movie buffs, I'm Tatiana Diana with Clevver Movies and I have the latest on this past weekend's box office numbers. The Green Lantern, while taking the number one position, is still the least successful superhero flick so far this year. Released by Warner Bros., "Green Lantern" didn't do so hot compared to other comic adaptations. Green Lantern made 52.7 Million at the box office while Thor Debuted with over 65 million and Xmen's launch has an impressive 55.1 million dollar opening weekend. Falling in the number two spot was Paramount's Super 8, which made 21.2 million in the domestic box office, dropping a remarkable 40% from last weekend...we have a feeling Super 8 will remain in the top 5 for a few more weeks. Doing pretty poor was Popper...Mr. Popper's Penguins, that is . The 20th Century Fox flick starring funny man Jim Carrey made a disappointing 18.2 million in its opening weekend, putting the penguin flick in third place. Coming in 4th was Xmen First Class bringing in 11.5 Million, while The Hangover sequel came in 5th with 9.6 million for the weekend. Why do you think Popper did so poorly? bit.ly - Click to Subscribe! Hop hopped into the Box Office and hopped out of the weekend at #1! Hey there Movie Fans, I'm Chelsea Cannell here with your Weekend Box Office numbers on Hop. Well despite the fact that I said I wasn't planning to see this one, it seems the rest of the world was because Hop won the Box office Hunt, bringing in an estimated $38.1 million dollars for its pre-Easter basket. The good news for this flick, is that easter is still a few weeks away, and the bunny movie will surely benefit from the extra time, to bank off the upcoming holiday at the box office. Proving just how wrong I was, Hop had the highest grossing opening weekend of this year, with Rango just slightly behind it. It also did incrementally better than past family flicks like G-force and Beverly hills Chihuahua, but did just below the two Chipmunk Movies. I'm always willing to admit when I am wrong, however I think I still won't be adding to their box office numbers. But will you? Let me know if you're planning to see Hop in our comment section.
