1988 - Birmingham Superprix - Cor Euser taps Volker Weidler into a spin
At the controversial 1988 Birmingham Superprix with the F3000 race stopped after three times. The start of the race was red flagged because of David Hunt's massive stunt. This video clip shows the chain reaction leading to the second stoppage of the F3000 race with Cor Euser tapping Volker Weidler into a spin at the first corner of the restarted F3000 race and it caused a massive delay that allowed the frontrunners to get away from the midfield and backmarkers. So it give some more reason for Russell Spence to hold station in his car in the middle of Cavendish Finance Corner after being spun by a fellow British driver, Gary Evans and then decided to hold up the race by stepping on the brake and not to allow the marshals to do their jobs of removing the car from the circuit.
