COD Black Ops - iPhone vs. Android

What is your take on the iPhone vs. Android debate? Why do android phones have apps designed to make the phone look like the iPhone? I made the switch to the iPhone in December of 2010. Is Chris Smoove an apple fanboy? We need to create a new term to replace fanboy. Fanboy doesn't sound very Smoove. Best way to get into a subscriber session is to follow me on twitter or facebook. The last time I tried to run a session from YouTube no body saw the bulletin! I was waiting for about 30 minutes and got 0 messages. Once I tweet or post on facebook the party is full in less than a minute!

Does Android's Voice Actions Compare to Siri? (Highlights Only)

This video is an attempt to debunk some of the rumors, unfair comparison's and myths about Android's voice command capabilities: I don't own the iPhone 4S, so unfortunately I can't do a side-by-side comparison. But I have read a lot about it and seen many of its features in videos as well. So I feel quite familiar with its capabilities. Overall I am impressed with Siri, so much so that I believe it is the best in the market in regards to speech to text communication. But the question is how much better is it? There have been numerous videos made comparing Siri's capabilities vs. Android's, but none of them that I have seen have been fair comparisons. Most of them seem to confuse "Voice Actions" applications with the common Voice Search built into most Android devices. The Voice Search app in Android is for just that: Voice Search and will do nothing else but search Google with your voice. To compare Siri with this would be ludicrous. Here's a very popular video that has been floating around that does just that: www.youtube.com Notice that this video not only uses the Voice Search app in Android designed only for Google voice searches, but it also focuses on a lot of the silly Easter egg nuances built into Siri, as if Android would have those same Easter eggs built into its platform. Also note that thousands of people have already seen this video as well as other similar versions making the same unfair comparisons. I am sure that many seeing these videos will accept it as ...

iOS 5 (Android Rip-Off?)

This is basically what was going through my mind as I watched Apple's promotional video for their latest update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, iOS 5. I know that I'm not the only person that can see that Apple just copied directly from Android and Windows Phone, there's no denying it. I hope that this video can create an obvious visualisation of the features so blatantly stolen from their competition. "Lots of people buy iPhones. Therefore they are good." - There are more flies than humans, and the vast majority of their time is spent eating faeces off the ground, maybe they're onto something as well? You should give it a try. "iPhones cost more, therefore they are better/You just hate iPhones because you can't afford one and are therefore jealous." So the best app on Apple's App Store was "I Am Rich" because it costs $999.99 and did NOTHING? I would have no problem acquiring an expensive device if I so chose, but I do not desire an iPhone at all, I am quite happy with my Galaxy S for now, and I plan on upgrading to the next best smartphone next year, which is likely to be the Galaxy S 3.

Sensor Fusion on Android Devices: A Revolution in Motion Processing

Google Tech Talk August 2, 2010 ABSTRACT Presented by David Sachs. Gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses are increasingly prevalent in mainstream consumer electronics. Applications of these sensors include user interface, augmented reality, gaming, image stabilization, and navigation. This talk will demonstrate how all three sensor types work separately and in conjunction on a modified Android handset running a modified sensor API, then explain how algorithms are used to enable a multitude of applications. Application developers who wish to make sense of rotational motion must master Euler angles, rotation matrices, and quaternions. Under the hood, sensor fusion algorithms must be used in order to create responsive, accurate, and low noise descriptions of motion. Reducing sensing errors involves compensating for temperature changes, magnetic disturbances, and sharp accelerations. Some of these algorithms must run at a very high rate and with very precise timing, which makes them difficult to implement within low-power real-time operating systems. Within Android specifically, this involves modifying the sensor manager, introducing new APIs, and partitioning motion processing tasks. David Sachs began developing motion processing systems as a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab. His research there led him to InvenSense, where he continues this work with MEMS inertial sensors used in products such as the Nintendo Wii Motion Plus. David's designs incorporate gyroscopes ...

What is Minecraft?

LIKE/FAV to help my channel grow guys!! This video describes in detail what the game Minecraft is. Minecraft is a sandbox-building independent video game written in Java originally by Swedish creator Markus "Notch" Persson and now by his company, Mojang, formed from the proceeds of the game. It was released as an alpha on May 17, 2009, with a beta version on December 20, 2010. Official releases for iOS and Android have been released and the full version of the PC game was released on November 18, 2011 at MineCon 2011. The Android release was temporarily exclusive to the Xperia Play but is now available to the rest of the Android market. A version of the game for the Xbox 360 with Kinect support is under development by 4J Studios and delayed until 2012. Minecraft is focused on creativity and building, allowing players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world. Gameplay in its commercial release has two principal modes: Survival, which requires players to acquire resources themselves and maintain their health; and Creative, where the player has an unlimited supply of resources. A third gameplay mode, named Hardcore, ratchets up the difficulty of surviving. An outdated Classic version is also available for free, although it is no longer being developed. Creative Minecraft resembles Classic, but with many more features. The gameplay is heavily inspired by Infiniminer by Zachtronics Industries, and Dwarf Fortress by Bay 12 Games. Droid Razr Review - The Best Android Phone?

Droid Razr Review - The Best Android Phone? The engineering brilliance behind the Droid Razr cannot be understated. Packed in just .28-inches of stainless steel and soft-touch Kevlar, the Razr manages to include some truly impressive specs into an amazingly thin frame. Like Motorola's clamshell offering from yesteryear, the Droid Razr is an incredible feat of hardware design that should be the blueprints for future devices. But how does it tie up as a whole? One big question heading into our review was, "Does it live up to the Razr name?" The answer to that is yes, but there are a few caveats, and one of them is a big one. The Motorola Droid Razr is remarkably thin. So thin, in fact, that even after seeing it in pictures, holding it in person is a bit of a shock. Track one down to know what we mean, you'll be surprised too. The thing is, though, the device is by no means small, especially if you have smaller hands. The screen sits at 4.3-inches, but the way the phone was designed to accommodate every component makes it seems clunky. There is a huge bezel that pretty much makes one-handed use next to impossible, and the squared-off edges adds to this illusion. Next to an iPhone 4/iPhone 4S, the thing is massive. Still, consumers with bigger hands may not even notice its size. That aside, the specs packed into the Razr make for a very snappy, smooth experience. The 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM open folders and applications very quickly, and it was actually one of ...
