This was his first solo release after leaving Haircut 100. Nick's hits with Haircut were Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl), Love Plus One, Fantastic Day, and Nobody's Fool. The State Fair of Texas allowed the Museum of the American Railroad to sound train whistles at 11:55, 1:55, 2:55, and 4:55 if the Chevy Stage was clear. This was the 11:55 sounding on 10/18/2009 last day of the State Fair. Amtrak usually brought in equipment to generate rider interest, so the Amtrak Genesis answers the museum's engines. In the video you get 2 whistles from the museum's engines - the mighty 4018 Big Boy and the Union Terminal 7 Spot whistles. Also heard are a hooter whistle and a Texas and Pacific Passenger Engine whistle.

Irish Flute Tin Whistle - The Rainy Day - Bb Whistle
Just something I did a quite few months ago as a test. Ack... my timing is all over the place... I've got better since. Well some at least. :-D I had forgot all about it until I came across it again just now so here it is. Hmmm... it was some time ago...my hair was still rather short! I took the tune setting from a recording by the well know Liam O'Maonlai from his Rian album. The Rainy Day seems to be a common enough tune and I have heard now many different variations of it. About this whistle. You'll hear people say this and that about Generation "cheapie" whistles. While there can be some issues from the factory they are generally just fine. I find the Bb nickel particularly fun to play. :-)

Imaginaria - 13 More Bells and Whistles (Short Circutz - Animusic)
This is the short "More Bells and Whistles" from the early computer animation video Imaginaria. It is one of Wayne Lytle's first CG music videos, created a decade before his famous Animusic series. 1993 saw Miramar Productions, already known for its Mind's Eye series of pioneering 3D animations, created a companion volume for children called Imaginaria. Eventually Miramar's shorts would be licensed by YTV in Canada to be aired as "Short Circutz" in place of commercials. Unlike later productions, Imaginaria was only released on VHS tape, the short lived Movie CD format (NOT Video CD) and Laserdisc. This is the higher quality Laserdisc release, carefully digitized.
