"Respectable" was a UK number one single for one week in March 1987 for Mel and Kim. Written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, it was the team's second number one. It was also number one in New Zealand for five weeks spanning July and August, and in Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands. A memorable feature of the song is the sampled and sequenced first syllable of the chorus: "Tay, tay, tay, tay, tt, tt, t, tay, tay, take or leave us...". Melanie Susan Appleby (11 July 1966 -- 18 January 1990) Born in Hackney, London of mixed-race to a Jamaican father and a British mother, Appleby initially worked as a glamour model (In 1987 she did a photo shoot for Mayfair) and then joined her sister Kim Appleby to form Mel and Kim, enjoying considerable chart success during the mid and late 1980s. She died in Westminster, London, of pneumonia following treatment for metastatic paraganglioma on 18 January 1990. Appleby was first diagnosed with cancer in December 1985, prior to the success of Mel & Kim, when she had an operation to remove a large tumour on her liver. The cancer returned to her spine in mid 1987. During her lengthy health problems towards the end of her life, her condition was for some time rumoured to be a spinal disc herniation resulting from the energetic dance routines performed by the pair ...

After having already recorded a German cover version of Snow's "Informer", rapper Boris Köhler teamed up with the producer and songwriter Juergen Wind, Frank Hassas (Quickmix), David Brunner (Hitman) and Olaf Jeglitza to produce "Get-A-Way". Jeglitza moved on to other projects, including Real McCoy. Köhler, under the stage name of Gary B, performed the ragamuffin rap, and a female singer Samira Besic recorded the vocals for the chorus. It was a dancefloor hit all over Europe, peaking at #4 in the UK Singles Chart in June 1994. By this time, Besic had already left the act for a solo career, and was replaced by Linda Meek. More similar hits "No More (I Can't Stand It)" and "You Can Get It" followed, as well as an album entitled To The Maxximum, but their success was short-lived.

Other members of the group were rapper Stacey Paton (Stay-C), and female vocalist Nance Coolen. The combination of male rap and female choruses was the main recipe for their success. The project remained dormant until 1993, when Stay-C (born Stacey Paton) joined the group. He played the role of the rapper as well as an additional role of the co-producer. In the late summer of 1993, Slave to the Music, was launched. It charted well in most European countries, being the first dance record to go platinum in the newly independent Czech Republic. The following singles, Is It Love and Take Me Away, peaked at #5 in Israel. By now, the group were famous worldwide, with the exception of America and the UK. They even played live in South Africa. The single Leave Me Alone included a Greatest Hits Megamix. "Slave To The Music" and "Is It Love" were their only hits in Australia, where both songs reached the Top 5 on the Australian music charts. Although they were contracted until 1996, the group remained largely silent throughout the next two years. Nance then declared that the group had practically split due to personal issues. In 2000, plans to release a new album in the classical formula, with Stay-C and Nance, were rumoured in the press, but never eventuated. Enjoy!

His first single, the ambient house track "Der Erdbeermund", with a spoken vocal in German by Jo van Nelsen, peaked at number 11 in the German singles chart. Versions in English and French were also released (titled "Cherry Lips" and "Les lèvres cerises", respectively). An instrumental version was also a club hit in the United Kingdom, where it reached number 55. Wildboyz ft Ameerah - The sound of missing you (extended mix)

Ameerah - a name that breathes royalty. The Arabic word for "princess" perfectly reflects pop singer Ameerah's Tunisian, Algerian and Belgian roots. Her new single The Sound Of Missing You is a catchy, melodic dance track with influences of urban and pop. It's one of those songs you won't be able to get out of your head for a long time. The Sound Of Missing You is the result of a collaboration of Ameerah with the renowned Swedish production team Airborn, aka Didrik and Sebastion Thott; the same team that is responsible for numerous hits for Celine Dion, Westlife and Lindsay Lohan, to name a few. It's a song about the end of a relationship. Ameerah: It's about missing somebody so much that you can't shake off the feeling. It's like sound: it's always there. For the last two years, Ameerah has travelled the world to work with the crème de la crème of international producers, such as Red One (Akon, Lady Gaga), Jorgen Elofsson (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), Airborn and Souldiggaz (Beyoncé, Missy Elliott). She divided her time between her home in Belgium, Sweden (the Mecca of pop music) and the USA (the 1 country of urban music) in order to develop her talent and skills. When I started co-writing with other people, I didn't know who I was musically. It took a while to discover my own sound. Writing with internationally acclaimed producers has helped me find my strengths and musical preferences. These people believe in my talent and they have given me plenty of room to grow ...

Kylie Minogue - Your disco needs you (UK almighty remix)

I love her and I love this remix! Kylie Ann Minogue, OBE, (born 28 May 1968), is an Australian pop singer-songwriter and occasional actress. She rose to prominence in the late 1980s through her role in the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, before commencing her career as a recording artist in 1987. Signed to a contract by English songwriters and producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman in 1987, she achieved a string of hit records throughout the world. Her popularity waned during the early 1990s, leading her to part company from Stock, Aitken & Waterman in 1992. During the mid to late 1990s, Minogue distanced herself from her earlier work and attempted to establish herself as a credible and independent performer and songwriter. Her projects were widely publicised, but her albums failed to attract a substantial audience and resulted in the lowest sales of her career at the time. She returned to popularity as a pop artist in 2000, and became well-known for her elaborate music videos and expensively mounted stage shows. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, Minogue returned to performing and recording in late 2006 after a period of convalescence. Although she was dismissed by some critics during her early career, she has achieved longevity as a pop music artist. She has sold in excess of 60 million records, and has achieved her greatest successes in Australia, Europe, Asia and Latin America. She was awarded an OBE in 2008 for services to music. Lady Gaga ft Beyonce - Telephone (wimv extended mix)

"Telephone" is a song by American recording artist Lady Gaga from her second studio album The Fame Monster, featuring American R&B singer Beyoncé Knowles. The song was written by Gaga and Rodney Jerkins. The main inspiration of the song was Gaga's fear of not being able to enjoy herself because of her dedication to her career. The lyrics portray the singer as preferring the dance floor, rather than answering her lover's phone calls. Gaga explained that the telephone addressed in the lyrics of the song, is in reality a person telling her to continue working harder. Musically, the song consists of an expanded bridge, verse-rap and an epilogue where the line is disconnected. Knowles appears in the middle of the song, singing the verses in a rapid-fire way, accompanied by double beats. "Telephone" was appreciated by contemporary critics who frequently noted it as a stand-out track from The Fame Monster. The song charted in a number of countries due to digital sales, namely in the United States, Australia, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden and Hungary, following the album's release. The song has been particularly successful in Europe, reaching the top of the charts in Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Norway and the United Kingdom. She performed an acoustic rendition of "Telephone" mixed with "Dance In The Dark" at the 2010 BRIT Awards in memory of Alexander McQueen. It was also added to the setlist of the European leg of The Monster Ball Tour. Gaga explained that the ...

It was initially released in the United States through Wild Pitch Records, but after Chill Rob G threatened legal action, the rap was re-recorded by Turbo B (born Durron Maurice Butler, April 30, 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), and additional vocals were recorded by Penny Ford (though the woman in the video is Jackie Harris), Jocelyn Brown's vocals still remain on the record. Lady Gaga - Bad romance (wimv extended mix)

"Bad Romance" is a song by American recording artist Lady Gaga. It is the lead single from her second studio album, The Fame Monster. The track was produced by RedOne and was inspired by the paranoia that Gaga had felt while touring through the year 2008--09. After the demo version of the song leaked, Gaga premiered the song at Alexander McQueen's Spring/Summer 2010 show in the Paris Fashion Week, on October 6, 2009, followed by the release of the cover art. "Bad Romance" features a spoken bridge and a full-throated chorus. The song was written by Gaga while touring and was inspired by German house-techno music. Lyrically it talks about being in love with one's best friend. Critics gave positive reviews of "Bad Romance", with majority of them comparing the song to Gaga's second single "Poker Face". "Bad Romance" was a commercial success, reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart, Irish Singles Chart, Canadian Hot 100 and the Swedish, German, Austrian and Danish charts, while peaking at number two in countries such as the United States, Australia and New Zealand. The accompanying music video takes place in a white bathhouse where Gaga is kidnapped by a group of supermodels who drug her, and then sell her off to the Russian Mafia for sexual slavery. The video received positive response for its artistic treatment and innovation; critics complimenting its craziness and symbolic plot. Gaga has performed "Bad Romance" on a number of television shows including Saturday Night ...
