Shooting the .223 Winchester Ballistic Silvertip, 55 grain, into water jugs at 100 yards. This test provides an illustration of accuracy and effectiveness; including setup, shooting, and bullet recovery. Platform is an AR-15 Bushmaster Varminter. Winchester Ranger 9mm +P+ 127 grain SXT
Overview, shooting, and evaluation of the Winchester Ranger 9mm +P+, 127 grain. Video includes a brief overview of +P+ pressure specs and how that relates to standard pressure and +P 9mm ammo. Test platform was a Glock 19, 4 inch barrel, using jugs packed with wet newspaper. Chronographed velocity (5 shot average) was 1254 fps, 443 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle. Shot into the jugs was from 15 feet. Penetration and expansion results were similar to Winchester's official testing in ballistic gel. IMPORTANT: If you choose to test or carry this particular cartridge, please insure that your firearm will safely fire and cycle +P+ pressures. PLEASE NOTE: Ballistic tests such as this will provide a representation of handgun cartridge performance in a controlled environment. Please bear in mind that self-defense scenarios include multiple variables that will impact actual ballistic performance.

The Canon 5D mark II held it's own shooting at 3200iso but my little HD camcorder really struggled. Winchester .40 S&W 180 gr PDX1 Supreme Elite Bonded JHP
Basic penetration and expansion test for the Winchester PDX1 Supreme Elite Bonded JHP in .40 S&W. Four layers of denim was used in the test, and wet newspaper packed into one gallon jugs. Video also includes brief segments of "triple taps" to show recoil with a Glock 22. This a new round (2009) but is already making an impact (no pun intended), as it has been adopted by the FBI as their duty load. It appears this cartridge will perform well, but I greatly appreciate the fact that it is currently widely available at many retail sports outlets, and for a reasonable price.

This short, handy lever action was chambered for the popular Winchester Center Fire line on handgun ammunition. The specific gun used in this video featured a straight grip along with a 20 inch barrel. It has an 11 round magazine and is chambered in 32-20. Production of the model 1892 ran from 1892 to 1932 with over a million guns produced.

This small framed lever action was quite popular during its day, having been chambered in the popular Winchester Center Fire line of handgun cartridges. The particular gun used in this presentation is chambered in 38-40 WCF. With production running from 1892 to 1932, Winchester produced over one million guns in this model.

Winchester Ranger-T .40 S&W 165 gr JHP with denim
Penetration and expansion test using one-gallon jugs stuffed with wet newspaper. Four layers of denim also used; test gun was a Glock 22. Temperature during the test was 30-32 degrees, but the test jugs had been stored at room temperature for 4 1/2 days. I wanted to mention this based on the results. Sometimes bullets will expand into a perfect mushroom, but there is also the chance they will not for whatever reason. I still believe this would be a cartridge to consider for concealed carry, in spite of the less-than-optimum results.

Simple penetration and expansion test of the Winchester PDX1 bonded .45 ACP 230 grainhollowpoint, using a diluted form of SIM-TEST Ballistic Testing Media. This format is comparable to ballistic gel, and includes four layers of denim. Video includes brief overview of the cartridge, recoil shots, and one shot test. Post-shot evaluation shows bullet path through the block, average diameter, and retained weight. Test gun is a Colt Government model, Series 80, 5" barrel. Advertised muzzle velocity is 920 fps; my 5 shot chronographed average was 903 fps. VERY IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING AMMO TESTS ON THIS CHANNEL: Early on, I used wetpack for ammo testing, with or without denim. Beginning in 2011 I use SIM-TEST calibrated to ballistic gel specs plus 4 layers of denim. The denim is an IWBA standard simulating the density of heavy clothing. (Airsoft) Spining the M1887 Winchester.
Trying to spin the Marushin Winchester Model 1887. It's not easy because it keeps jaming. Every time I'm skipping in the video, it's because the gun jammed. It was way better to spin it while dry firing it. It's a replica of the famous weapon used by Arnold Schwarzenegger during the first half part of Terminator 2 : judgment day. I DO know that it's used in Modern Warfare 2, but I don't care. Using Schwarzy's weapon is cool. Using "MW2 cheated weapon" is not cool in my mind. No offense... I bought the skull baclava on RSOV. I do know I'm not cool. I'm just trying to use that airsoft this particular way, because of the symbol or whatever you want call that. Because it's fun. It cost about 250 USD but I don't think it's still produced. I bought mine from an other airsoft player. It used to be sell on airsoft website like WGC, uncompany, redwolf, etc. It's gas powered. It uses 8mm bb's (and not 6mm like most airsoft gun). You can put 3 bb's in each shell. Most part is ABS. The wood is fake. You can put 5 shells in the Winchester, +1 in the barrel. Very fun to use and very cool to shoot. But not very usefull in airsoft party. Too powerfull, not accurate enough. In CQB maybe.
