i got all 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed on july 2, 2009. i had a good experience. it didn't hurt. no major bleeding. i only took 2 hydrocodone after the surgery and of course the antibiotic for a week. my main problem was the swelling which went down in about 4 days.

Wisdom Teeth Removal... June 17, 2009.. dang... I had to get it taken out... ooh really.. they said it was poking the backs of my teeth... maybe my mouth is too small... they told me it will cause more pain if it's left there.. So they had to remove the 4 wisdom teeth out of my mouth, and so did Shawne Merriman... I was in the room... laying on the chair... Dr. Chang's was all ready for the surgery... the assistance gave me laughing gas.. Nitros Oxide.. I felt relaxed.. and then Dr. Chang put on the anesthesia... they told me to cough.. and suck in more Nitros Oxide... and then I looked around... like.. " I don't think its working on me.. ha!" but then.. in a quick second... BAM!! Total Knocked Out!! I do not remember anything.. can't remember the surgery, can't remember getting out, can't remember going in the car, and how I ended up in the couch of my living room.... WTF... a weird experience.... that's my story of the wisdom teeth getting pulled out...
I got my wisdom teeth out, and my mom kind of tried to like "document" the process.. some of the things i said were funny,, but i'm not really one of those people who says ridiculous things when given drugs/laughing gas before surgery. here's what i do.. =P psthere are a few particularly funny parts towards the middle... the rest of the video moves kind of slow haha =P
Haha, my parents sure had a fun time taping me. Can't yah tell? High on drugs and I wouldn't shut up, and funny part is, I don't remember 1/3 of it! My take on it is this. MINIMAL PAIN. It really wasn't bad at all. In my opinion, I think you should wait to see what your teeth do before you decide to go get them ripped out of your face. Wait to see if they even come out, I hate it when parents just decide to get them cut out before they even move because they don't want to ruin their kids' brace work. Let them move by themselves and then pulled the rest of the way out. Result: MINIMAL BRUISING, BLEEDING, AND PAIN. I did get a dry socket on the bottom right side of my jaw, but the pain was almost nonexistent. Don't worry about it! If you have any questions about it, im me or message me here. This is me after I got my wisdom teeth out. Totally drugged up and out of it. I don't normally sound and look this terrible. Haha. The things that come out of my mouth are absolutely ridiculous. The good news is that I had no pain or swelling or anything at all. After this video was shot, I slept for like five hours and when I woke up I was totally normal. It felt like nothing had even happened. I was freaking out about having to get my wisdom teeth out, but it was seriously no big deal at all. So, if you're about to get wisdom teeth surgery and you have 4 wisdom teeth none of which are impacted and they've all grown in already and you're freaking out, don't be nervous at all!! You seriously don't feel anything during and after the surgery. Like, seriously, I wish someone told me that when I was freaking out! In the video, when I talk about something hurting, I'm talking about the IV needle, not the surgery itself.
