I took this video on 1/27/12. This film is being run on a continuous loop at Delgado Community College in New Orleans as part of the Prospect.2 arts festival. (Late October 2011 to late January 2012.) I captured a 15 minute segment of it; I'm not sure how long the film is, maybe 30 mins.? Sorry for the vertigo-inducing panning, but that's the only way I could film in order to show what's going on at all times, and I still had to omit certain parts. This is the coolest immersive experience I've probably ever had. There are 8 video projectors mounted above the room in the center. Each one projects outward, creating an almost-360º "projection screen," with only a small entryway for people to access the circle. Because of the nature of it, this clip does not do it justice, so if you missed it in person, you may never have a chance to see it. Luckily my YouTube-allotted 15 minutes ended right as the film was going into its only boring part (Mardi Gras footage). I think the film itself got degraded a bit from being played continually for 7 hours a day for three months, which adds to the eerie "washed out" feel. The ambient music was done by Stephen Vitiello. The hissing noise in the background is the building's central A/C system, sorry.
