This is my model Laura, and we are going to talk about stretching our glute muscles today, glutes and piriformis. So I'm going to have Laura come right down towards the floor. She's going to lay down on her back. Now this is also really great for your lower spine as well. So first thing I want her to do is go ahead and take one of your legs and cross it over her knee. Very nice. Allowing that knee to slightly dropout towards the side, and depending on flexibility, drawing the opposite knee in towards the chest. And maybe you can reach your hands through your legs, maybe underneath or above the knee, and drawing the knee in towards the chest. So we're keeping her spine nice and flat on the ground and elongating her neck as well, so her chin draws in slightly towards the chest. Good. She's breathing nice and deep. And as she's pulling that knee in towards her chest she's allowing her piriformis muscle to release. Also working in the lower spine as well. When she's ready she can release that knee down towards the floor and straighten your bottom leg all the way out if you're ready. Bringing the same knee in towards your chest. Ok so again seeing how long her leg becomes from the glute attachment all the way through the hamstring, up to the knee, underneath the <b>...</b>

It's like watching home movies of your parents when they had weird hairstyles from the 60s. The dog in the video, Tequila, passed away well over a year ago from old age. But, anyway, the content in this video is still helpful if you are suffering from lower back or hip pain related to fibromyalgia. Ignore my funny looking "boot" cast. This was just about a month after I had surgery on my ankle to try to correct a broken ankle that had never healed right, from two years before. The surgery didn't work, but, hey, it was worth a try. (And, I'm sure I looked oh, so, stylish wearing that clunky boot for two months.) I have many other videos on other topics related to fibromyalgia. None of my videos contain any commercial content. I do not sell anything. I'm just a stay-at-home Mom who blogs about things that I find helpful in living well with fibromyalgia.
