One Planet Wales

WWF Cymru's One Planet Wales video highlights the challenge for the Welsh Assembly Government, business and industry and also to the people of Wales to lead happy, healthy, prosperous lives within their fair share of the Earth's natural resources. WWF Cymru's 'One Planet Wales' report discovered that if everyone in the world consumed natural resources and generated carbon dioxide at the rate we do in Wales, we would need three planets to support us. It concludes that we must cut Wales' footprint by 75% by 2050 in order to live within our fair share of the planet's resources. Support WWF's mission for a sustainable future by visiting www.wwf.org.uk for more information.

What wood you choose?

www.wwf.org.uk/whatwoodyouchoose All the timber and wood products we buy -- from furniture to flooring to paper -- started life in a forest somewhere. Trees were cut down, processed and sold to you as a door, a kitchen worktop or maybe a book. But not all wood comes from well-managed forests. So how can you be sure you're choosing the right wood -- wood that's sustainably produced without causing harm to people or wildlife? Watch this short film to find out...

Adopt a Wild Panda

Adopt a Wild Panda at www.wildadoption.com . It's shocking to think that there are only about 1600 giant pandas remaining in the wild. Today they can only be found in the forest areas high in the mountains of south-western China. If pandas are unable to roam freely through the forest to find mating partners - and females are only in season for two or three days each spring - the chances of breeding are even more limited.
