THIS DOES REQUIRE YOUR PHONE TO BE ROOTED. Look for another video on how to root your phone. This video starts with the assumption that it is already rooted. I had issues getting infrastructure tethering to work on my Motorola Photon. Only the ad-hoc wifi tethering was working and my Android tablets (like the Kindle Fire) cannot use that type of connection. It was the one major feature I have been missing since upgrading from my HTC EVO running Cyanogenmod - normal infrastructure wifi tethering always worked fine on it. I followed some steps on xda-developers.com to get the wifi tethering to work. It was not too hard. Here are the steps: Download the Data Enabler widget from the Market and add to a home screen Start WiFi Tether and make the following changes in the "Settings" Set as Nexus One, netd, mms clamping enabled Use Data Enabler to shut off 3g Start tethering with WiFi Tether Once tethering has started, enable 3g or 4g with the Data Enabler wiget. Hey everyone, here's a new video of the HTC HD2 running Android 2.3.1 (Gingerbread) NAND ROM. The official name of this build is NexusHD2-GIngerbread V2.0 NAND which can be found on XDA-Developers forum. NAND Android ROMs are a lot better than SD card ROMs because they are installed on the phone itself and replace your WM ROM. In this video I do a browser test, play a youtube video in the browser, test google maps 3d redering, and use the new Android Market. Everything I've tried works so far and overall is a really smooth build. One thing I had to do was turn off Audible touch tones in the settings or else you'll get a robot voice when making calls.
