My new Xpole
My new digs... Dancing at my grand-mother's old house, it is now empty save for my pole, a yoga mat and my Yamuna balls. The new pole was still pretty slick when this was recorded in May 2009, I had no leg holds at all but I pretty much got all of my tricks back now. It is a 50mm, just under 2inches Chrome X pole and I had a 45mm, 1.75inches stainless steal Platinum Stages and the difference is huge. Pole texture plays a large part in friction. I never had sweaty hands with my stainless steel pole & I would see a lot of girls wiping their hands on their shorts in the middle of combos for grip and I now understand why... Chrome!!! That is my major concern with my new X. I know I may get a few hisses for saying it but I think Platinum Stages' Stainless is a way better pole for control/grip, though a minus is that it takes longer to warm up and you have no grip until it does. Another difference is the spin, X pole has a more natural spin while PS, I think, may be modeled after centrifuge technology, lol! I was almost thrown from my pole into the walls a few times :0 I have never danced on a Brass nor a powder coated pole so I have no basis for comparison there. Please, let me know if you agree or not with my comments, discussion is good as we all have different body chemistry and what's good for me isn't necessarily a universal truth! HELP! I've only been poling for a month and a few weeks when I recorded this pole practice. I don't seem to have the arm strength to hold myself up and do the caterpillar. I feel so weak sauce!! I was so excited I had been watching people on YT pole dance and it looks so fun!!! So I decided to go ahead and get a pole ;) Well I was so pumped up I put this sucker up by myself!!!! Thats a big NO NO!!! It takes at least two people to put it up well I was so pressed to try out I put it up anyway!! and the wrong way at that!! So even tho I put it up the wrong way I was siced cuz I was finally gonna play on the pole. So I test it to make sure it dont come a lose but I only climbed it to test it. I had some doubts before spinning on it but presstivity got the best of me LOL!!! I just knew I was doing something I was like AWWWW shit I'm getting this:)LLS If it wasn't for Takiya saying put it on youtube trust me it wouldn't be on here but when she told me how hard she laughed I was like go ahead!;)
