Long, loooooong landing at Denver International Airport

Here is a very long landing and taxi video I took coming into Denver International Airport. I was up in first class (bless United, they're always upgrading me!!) on a very comfortable A320. It's about 7:15 in the morning so the photographic light is better than normal (so they tell me!). I later learned, from drcodyjones, that "spoilers" are those flap-like devices that are being used in the video to slow the aircraft down. Landing at Will Rogers World Airport, Oklahoma City

Coming in from Denver to land at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Actually, I've flown in and out of Will Rogers over 50 times (easily!) between the mid 80s and when this video was taken in 2008 - it's always been one the more pleasant flights for me because it's so short - averaging only about an hour and 15 minutes between Denver and Oklahoma City! Simple solar system charging during the winter in Colorado

This video is in contrast to the one I made during May of 2008. At that time it was another month until the summer solstice so the panel was pointing almost directly into the sky. For this particular video, recorded a month after the winter solstice, the panel is aligned toward the horizon - in stark contrast to its summer orientation. Either way, the theme remains simple, and inexpensive - capturing the right amount of sunlight to charge a battery to power my amateur radio station and some other related equipment. Train leaving station at Agra, India - waste on tracks is a common feature throughout Asia

At the video's start, as the train starts leaving the station, you can see toilet waste spilling onto the tracks. I point this out because North Americans would find this unusual while it's a common practice throughout Asia (I've seen it in China despite restroom signs, there, asking passengers not to use the facilities while at the station). Anyway, for the most part India's trains are clean, comfortable, and safe with no passengers on the roof anymore! Shanty town (villa miseria) Buenos Aires, Argentina

Like most cities, around the world, Argentina has its poor section too. In this case it's a settlement of small houses and shanty towns that are built out of whatever materials can be scavenged.
